Sewer and Water payment assistance through the State of Missouri, Dept. of Social Services (DSS).
Description
Financial assistance program for help with sewer and water utility bills. Shut off not required and this program is a once a year assistance and will help with late fees, reconnect and disconnect fees. Maximum help amount up to $750.

Required Documents
Phote ID, SS cards for all household members, proof of previous months income (not required if on food stamps), copy of water bill, copy of sewer bill, and landlord document request form if bills are not in your name.
Eligibility
Customers do not have to be past due or disconnected to receive funds, just experiencing a financial loss, hardship, life-threatening condition or any circumstance that threatens stability if energy aid is not supplied.

Applications can be picked up at the office and then either mailed in or returned to the following address (Community Action Partnership, 817 Monterey, St. Joseph, MO 64503. The application is also available online at the CAP website.
