Catholic Charities works with low-income, pregnant, Missouri mothers-to-be in the Mom!s Empowerment Program. During monthly meetings, the case manager provides healthy pregnancy and parenting education to expectant mothers, works with her on goal setting and achievement, provides referrals as needed, and offers financial assistance for baby supplies, clothing, food, rent, utilities, etc as funding allows for enrolled clients. Services are provided throughout the pregnancy and until the baby!s first birthday. Clients must be pregnant in order to be enrolled.

Description
Catholic Charities works with women experiencing unexpected pregnancies. Professional, compassionate case managers offer one-on-one emotional support as expectant parents make the decision to either parent their child or place their child for adoption with a loving family. An array of supportive services are offered including personalized plan for a healthy baby and delivery, medical referrals, emotional support, assistance obtaining benefits, short-term financial assistance, help selecting the best family for the baby, legal representation and professional counseling. Services are provided for those who choose to parent and those who choose to place their children for adoption.

Description
Making an adoption plan is not an easy decision for majority of birth parents. It can be very challenging to set oneâs own needs aside in order to see what is in the childâs best interest. At Catholic Charities, the expectant parents will participate in birth options counseling. The case manager will explore various options for the childâparenting, granting guardianship to a friend or family, kinship adoptions, private adoption, etcâas well as the expectant parents hopes and dreams for their child. This process helps to support the parents in making the best decision for the child without any pressure.
