Individuals can participate in up to 20 sports depending upon ability. There are 107 teams in 5 regions within the state. In addition, there are extensive health and wellness and leadership programs as well as Unified Sports opportunities (disabled and non-disabled athletes competing together).

Age 8+ and identified by an agency or professional as having one of the following conditions: intellectual disabilities, cognitive delays as measured by formal assessment, or significant learning or vocational problems due to cognitive delay that require or have required specially-designed instruction.

Intake Procedure
Applicants should call or mail the office. They will be provided with an registration packet and guidance for contacting a team within their region. On receipt of the completed SOKS Medical Release signed by a qualified physician SOKS will approve individual for participation. Individuals are assigned teams depending upon location.
