Description
Offers the evaluation of the child's needs prior to placement, and arrangements for care of the child prior to the child's adoptive placement and to the approval of the adoptive family. Also, special activities are provided to help adoptive parents and children adjust to the new family situation.

Description
Family-centered services are provided to families and children in their own homes when a child abuse or neglect investigation/family assessment response determination is preponderance of evidence, unsubstantiated-preventive services indicated, or services needed. Services include a range of treatment and support services and are provided, as appropriate to the case treatment plan.

The Children's Division Child Abuse and Neglect Hotline Unit (CA/NHU): Accepts confidential reports of suspected child abuse, neglect, or exploitation, reports are received through a toll-free telephone line which is answered seven days a week, 24 hours a day.

Description
The Children's Division actively seeks individuals and couples who are willing to become foster parents for the children in the State's custody. Prospective foster parents take a total of 27 hours of training on five competencies necessary to work with the children in CD (Children's Division) custody and their families.
